What's Included
Treatments & procedures
Click any treatment to see when it's recommended. Every option is explained clearly before we proceed.
First Dental Visit
The first dental visit is recommended by age 1 or within 6 months of the first tooth appearing — whichever comes first, per the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). Early visits build familiarity and help identify concerns before they develop.
Dental Check-ups & Cleaning
Routine six-monthly examinations covering the teeth, gums, bite and jaw development, combined with professional cleaning to remove plaque and tartar that regular brushing cannot reach.
Fillings & Cavity Treatment
Gentle removal of decayed tooth material and restoration using tooth-coloured composite resin, preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible and restoring normal function.
Tooth Extractions
Safe, gentle removal of a baby tooth when it cannot be saved — performed with local anaesthesia and calm, age-appropriate communication throughout to ensure the child feels comfortable.
Pulpectomy
Root canal treatment adapted specifically for baby teeth — removing infected nerve tissue, cleaning the canals and sealing the tooth to save it from extraction and prevent the spread of infection.
Paediatric Crowns
Protective caps placed over a damaged or pulp-treated baby tooth to restore its full strength, shape and function. Available in stainless steel or tooth-coloured options depending on the tooth location.
Space Maintainers
Custom-fitted appliances placed after premature baby tooth loss to hold the gap open, preventing adjacent teeth from drifting and guiding the permanent tooth into its correct position.
Signs your child may need this treatment
- Your child has not had a dental check-up before
- Visible cavities, dark spots or holes in teeth
- Complaints of tooth pain or sensitivity
- Difficulty eating or chewing on one side
- Thumb-sucking or mouth-breathing habits persisting beyond age 3
- Irregular spacing or crowding of teeth
Why this treatment matters
Children's teeth and jaws are still developing. A paediatric dentist understands these developmental stages and can identify problems early, before they become painful or require more involved treatment. Regular paediatric dental visits help establish good oral health habits and reduce dental anxiety.
How we keep your child comfortable
Dr. Bhuvanesswari uses age-appropriate language, a calm tone and a patient approach. Children are never rushed or forced. The goal is for the child to feel safe throughout the visit.
